10:40 Data Sharing and Preservation
The EOSC Association’s Long Term Data Preservation Task Force (LTDP-TF) is seeking to define recommendations for future actions to deliver preservation within the EOSC. In working through the implications for active long term preservation by FAIR-enabling trustworthy digital repositories (TDR) the task force has identified significant dependencies on a wider range of data and metadata services (including registries) offering retention and curation services from a shorter term perspective. The LTDP TF outputs will support the delivery of clear, transparent, standardised information about data services and their digital objects in a way that supports inter-organisational trust, cooperation, and interoperability.
Within this session, we will briefly introduce the task force and its position in the context of federation as well as how the data federation and preservation are addressed in the FNS-Cloud (Food Nutrition Security Cloud). During the interactive session we will present and seek feedback on a targeted subset of our task force’ recommendations based on the topic.
