Chris De Loof

As the Innovation Manager for Belnet, the Belgian National Research and Education Network, Chris De Loof works on international and Belgian digital strategies for Scientific Research. He is a long-term promoter for Open Science and FAIR data. He is the delegate for the Belgian Mandated Organisation in the EOSC Association, the elected Chair of the General Assembly of the research infrastructure Dariah ERIC, the Belgian delegate in the e-Infrastructure Reflection Group (e-IRG) and the Belgian delegate in the Commissions expert group for the Common European Data Space for Cultural Heritage (CEDCHE). Chris has been involved in several successful EU funded projects, often in a managerial role. He is task leader for the collaboration with the data spaces and partnerships in the Horizon Europe project EOSC Focus. Chris studied Business Information Management at the KULeuven focusing on Information Technology, process- and data management.
